The Company’s work is guided by its commitment to management evolution, the building and strengthening of ethical relationships and the promotion of sustainable development. Proof of this engagement is Klabin’s continued inclusion in key Brazilian and global ESG indices, such as the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices.
To highlight its best practices to the market and strengthen them, Klabin has subscribed to the Brazilian Association of Publicly Traded Companies (Abrasca) Self-Regulation and Best Practices Code for Listed Companies since 2011. This code establishes principles, rules and recommendations for enhancing corporate governance practices. The Company has been on B3’s list of “Level 2 Governance” companies for 11 years, demonstrating its commitment to transparency.
Recognition for top management
For the second time, Cristiano Teixeira, Klabin’s chief executive officer, was rated CEO of the Year in Latin America by Fastmarkets RISI, the foremost information provider for the global forest products industry. He was also among the winners of the 2024 Valor Executive Awards, run by the business newspaper Valor Econômico, coming top in the Paper and Pulp category. This annual awards scheme evaluates the best leaders in Brazil in 24 sectors.
