Advances in ISO 14001 certification

Klabin aims to obtain ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for Environmental Management Systems, for 100% of its industrial plants by 2030. In 2024, the Company progressed toward this objective with the certification of its Manaus I Plant in Amazonas. Also significant during the year was the preparatory work undertaken for certification of plants currently without ISO 14001. Specifically Pilar in Argentina, Horizonte (Ceará), Rio Verde (Goiás) and Rio Negro (Santa Catarina) plants, and the recently opened Piracicaba II Plant (Figueira Project), a diagnosis of the requirements needed in each one of them was made. This preparatory work included diagnosing ISO 14001 requirements for each plant, as well as conducting training, enhancing procedures and performing internal audits. 100% of Klabin’s plants will be certificated during 2025.
