A culture that encourages learning
The Company believes that the quality of its deliveries and the achievement of good results depend on a trained team, capable of critically evaluating processes and adding knowledge. For this reason, it invests in training its professionals, offering technical courses, leadership programs, an online course platform, scholarships, workshops and opportunities for sharing knowledge.
In 2024, Klabin launched ECOA, a program aimed at fostering a culture of learning by raising employees’ awareness of the importance of continuous learning. Pilot schemes were carried out at our Piracicaba I and II plants in São Paulo and our Goiana site in Pernambuco. During these initiatives, professionals took part in conversations and events to publicize the Klabin Business School Portal.
Over the course of the year, a learning model was built to suit the needs of forestry teams, based on a diagnosis of priorities and the most suitable formats for this audience. This work resulted in the creation of customized courses to address specific needs.
Another highlight in 2024 was the development of business paths, designed to enhance technical and behavioral skills. Examples include “My Attitude Beyond Sales” for the Packaging business team; an Analytics path, which caters to different audiences; and a Commercial path for forestry team members.

Integration of Arauco teams
Learning also takes place through the exchange of experiences. A good example of this was the integration of the 962 employees who came from Arauco (Caetê Project) into Klabin’s teams. This process involved onboarding Arauco professionals while maintaining ongoing operations. This exchange allowed for the incorporation of the Arauco team’s best practices into Klabin’s routines, while also sharing Klabin’s established areas of excellence. This collaborative effort will continue in 2025, with a focus on the continuous improvement of processes.
Klabin Business School
The Klabin Business School (ENK Portal) is the Company’s online training platform. Featuring learning paths designed for different functions, it is an important tool for meeting individual development needs.
Over 14,000
employees were trained by the ENK Portal in 2024.
New courses on the portal:
Psychological Safety, Results-Based Management, Unlock Your Productivity, Power BI and Sustainability Policy.
Leadership training
The Company has a range of initiatives focused on the continuous development of its leadership, including the following:
This program develops managers in the pillars of Development, Succession and New Leaders. In 2024, the following modules were taught: Turning the Key (Virando a chave), for recently appointed leaders; Communication-Based Leadership; Proactiveness; and Safety.
Aimed at developing first-level leaders, this program presents tools to help with decision making and methodologies for improving management and communication.
Whenever necessary, workshops are held on strategic management topics. In 2024, these meetings looked at building targets, anti-corruption practices, integrity and antitrust practices.
These meetings, held annually, are an opportunity to ensure alignment with the Company’s strategy and exchange experiences. In 2024, the relaunch of Klabin’s Attitude (see Management and engagement for more details) was one of the highlights, providing leadership with clarity on what is expected from their teams to achieve sustainable results.

Klabin Center for Professional Development
In 2024, the Company opened the Centro de Qualificação Profissional Klabin (Klabin Center for Professional Development) in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná. This facility offers ongoing training for employees and opportunities for the whole community. It is based in the building where the former Manoel Ribas State College used to be, thereby helping preserve local history.
In all, R$12 million was invested to modernize the building and prepare it to host electrical, mechanical, automation and instrumentation maintenance training. The center features classrooms for theoretical lessons, a computer room and an auditorium. The facility’s key features and benefits for the business include the following:
-
Capacity for up to 250 students;
-
Training of new professinals through programs for apprentices and trainees;
-
Reduction in preparation time for newly hired professionals from 18 months to six months;
-
Recycling of employees’ knowledge;
-
Instructors with extensive experience in the Company’s routines;
-
Simulators that contribute to learning and consequently to the performance and operational efficiency of plants.
Training the local workforce is important for the community, as it offers opportunities for work and growth, and for Klabin, as it helps build alternatives to supply its operations with qualified labor.
The good results of this initiative have motivated the Company to study the implementation of similar models in other locations.
